How It Started
We didn't set out to start a lighting company. It happened after our third Christmas light show, when people started stopping to ask if we could install lights like that permanently on their own homes.
We hadn't really thought about it until then. But enough people asked that we figured, why not? We already loved doing this. So we turned it into Joyful Illuminations, with one goal: install lighting that actually works, looks great, and holds up.
That's still what we focus on today. Every install is done right the first time. No shortcuts, no flimsy fixtures, nothing you have to think twice about once it's up.

When Matt's not working on lighting installs, you'll usually find him under the hood of a car, blasting music, or spending time with his family.
He's been into electronics for as long as he can remember. Growing up, he was always taking things apart, tinkering with computers, and figuring out how stuff worked. That same curiosity is what eventually turned into Joyful Illuminations: a mix of technical know-how and genuine love for lighting.
